If you go somewhere and don’t post it on social media, did you actually go there? If you ask the people at Yelp, the answer is no. That’s why they’ve added a new feature that will have your followers experiencing even more FOMO (fear of missing out) than before. Yelpers can now add a “Yelfie” to their Yelp review.
While leaving a review, you can now take a check-in photo to capture your experience. Then the camera will flip to allow you to take a selfie, or in this case a Yelfie. You can customize your Yelfie by adding the business name and star rating, as well as change the font, size, and placement. After your Yelfie is picture perfect, you’ll want to share your Yelfie with friends and family.

Since the release last week, #Yelfie has been trending as users share their new photos on social media.

According to their blog , Yelfies were originally created by a group of Yelp engineers as a project for a Hackathon conference and decided not to let the great idea go to waste.
The Yelfie feature is now available for Android and iPhone devices.
